Great Post, Lisa. You're post of 6/03/09 still holds true as of 9/28/09. The moratorium is still in place, effecting lot owners, builders and the community itself.
I believe it depends on where you are located, that determines if you may tap in or not, so it's important to find out the particulars of your lot. Some sections can, but most can not. We are crossing our fingers that the moratorium is soon lifted, because I think it's important for the entire community to be able to tap in to a community sewer. On-lot systems are not an alternative for all lot owners, some on-lot systems are old and will fail eventually...and there are a lot of wetlands in this community, so I'd rather not see on lot systems at all. I don't know about other builders, but I know what this delay means for us and our clients, many of which were ready to go for building permits just as the axe dropped.

Mike, as far as I know there is no change on the status of this. I do encourage anyone who thinks they are affected to call the community and ask about it as not all properties are affected the same...you may or may not have an issue depending on where you are located, apparently. I have one lot owner who was told that they would 'probably' be able to hook in because of where they are. So make the call and double check 570.646.1771.
